Stepping Away

I'm taking a hiatus from this blog. I would love to continue it, I really would, but it's come to my attention that there are people reading it who I didn't think knew it existed and it now feels like my privacy has been invaded.

In all honesty, though I have a blog, there are people I'm trying to keep at arms length at the moment - and I have my own reasons for it. Clearly that is not possible if they are reading what I write here.

So for now...nothing.

My Royal Wedding Keepsake

I'm English. Legitimately so...I hold a UK passport and it says I'm a British Citizen. So yes, I made plans to wake up at 4:30 and watch the Royal Wedding and revel in Englishness all morning. Afterall, they are myyyyyy royals, just as they are to every other Brit.

So I decided, what better keepsake than a record of all the Tweets I've made during the last 3 hours?

Just need a cup of tea and then it's Royal Wedding time...today I'm nothing but English!
OMG SHE'S WEARING A DRESS!!!!!
"She looks like she's enjoying this..." what a silly comment! (In reference to one of the NBC commentators...I switched the channel to BBCAmerica shortly after.)
- RT @TheTinaBeast Tina on Kate: She's mastered the royal wave already, something tells me she's going to be perfectly fine in this new role. ^br
Westminster Abbey is one of my favorite places in London...love that they chose it for the wedding :)
I wonder how fast her heart is beating right now...? (As they rearranged her dress and she was waiting to walk down the aisle.)
- RT @James_Phelps Back in time for the royal wedding. Best of luck to Will & Kate. Days like these make me proud to be British.
So cute that Prince William can't stop smiling!
Did these people not watch 27 Dresses???? SHOW THE GROOOOOOOOOOM! (Caught an article later that said he couldn't stop giggling...but sometimes the press lies so take this with a grain of salt :P)
Even Google's rockin' the Royal Wedding theme today. Love it!
Nothing beats a good English hymn...
You know, I'm meant to be doing homework...
Love it when English people have lots of middle names. (William Arthur Philip Louis...for reference.)
Not cool. RT @ "Kate's shaking... probably because she's STARVING" From our live-blog |  (I'm sorry...but this was mean and stupid to say.)
Ooooh they busted out.
- Well that was fast! (The vows were over in like 10 minutes!!)
Really glad that the BBCAmerica announcers aren't being annoying like the American ones. Cultural trend, maybe?
- Can't believe I have to go to class after this. Classes should have been cancelled. So un-English. Silly Americans!
Annnnnnd...they have built Jerusalem. It truly is an English Wedding!
Is it common of me to wonder if there will be a royal wedding mention in tonight?
GOD SAVE THE QUEEN!!!
Pretty cool that the Queen just gets to soak that in. Wonder if POTUS feels like that during Hail to the Chief?
- RT @TIME William joked to his father-in-law at altar: "We were supposed to have just a small family affair" From our live-blog |
The Queen and Prince Philip certainly qualify as a cute old couple...
@ My wedding's next... ;P '
I wonder what it's like to not have a last name anymore...or at least one you'll never use...?
@ I prefer the blue over the red, must say. (We were tweeting about William and Harry...;P)
@ might just be because Harry's still single, though. :P
@ Actually I googled it, and he has a gf. Unfair much??
Right, so, how is it not raining in England? Can royals order good weather?
@ There's always a chance...until they get married.
@ I've been thinking that all month. I miss England so much!!! :(
- RT @HAL9000 To those saying Kate Middleton is the first QILF, 2 things: 1. She won't be Queen until she's 60+ and 2. Queen Rania of Jordan
@ Ahahahaha brilliant. I thought the exact same thing. But let's be realistic...he'll probably go for Pippa now.
Kinda just waiting for it to be 13:10 GMT. Who thinks they'll share a kiss on the balcony? (This didn't happen until 13:27...)
- RT @iheartquotes There are three things that last: faith, hope and love, and the greatest of these is love.~ I Corinthians 13:13
Yayyyy! There they are :)
Annnnnnd...the kiss!!!! Aww William was so cute..."Should we kiss?"
Get ready for the RAF...
Haha a second kiss? Wonder what grandma's thinking, lol
And the flyover...I want one...
I do think it's interesting that "Kate Middleton" has now become "Catherine". Rebranding sure happens quickly these days!

Sadly...I have to get ready for school now :( But that really was a beautiful wedding and I'm sure it will be remembered for forever.
Definitely, definitely

**If I Tweet some more I promise to update :) Until then, I have to get ready for school because, as I said, Americans are thoroughly un-English and we don't have a bank holiday for royal weddings...

Rainy days = Grumpy Christina

I hate when it just rains and rains and rains and never seems to stop. Just take a look out my front door:

It's looked like this pretty much every morning the past week. Blah. All this rain, plus not being able to go to the gym, plus trying to figure out what to do for projects for school has me in a down-n-out mood - which should explain the lack of blogging. I also don't feel well this morning and don't want to go to class (sidenote: this is the first time I have seriously considered not going to class since, oh, late 2009). So Mother Nature, if you wanted to jack up my mood, you succeeded!

All I want to do today is curl up with a book and my bunnies (or the pup-pup) and do nothing. Not take some Tums and homemade sprite and schlep off to class.

It's one of those "Oh well" circumstances. I have to go for at least the first half of class - there's no way I can (or should) miss it. Boo.

And that is all. Maybe (hopefully?) school will actually make my mood a bit better, but for that to happen they're gonna have to leave the lights on...which can sometimes be a problem in the MT world.

But let's just say that if my bad mood lasts until lunch I'm going to have to consider ditching for the rest of the day...which would qualify as a) a mental health half-day and b) a fantastic reason to see a friend who's in town.
